For MUTEK 2026, I presented The Apocablyss Universe, a worldbuilding project and custom tarot deck derived from my experimental video games. Installed as a live activation during the MUTEK Forum, I offered performative tarot readings that served as a method for combating digital burnout, engaging audiences, and cultivating a lusory attitude toward change.
Drawing upon game theory and ecological art practices, the custom deck transforms characters from my interactive works into playable archetypes. Rather than treating divination as mere prediction, the readings functioned as collaborative speculative exercises, inviting participants to navigate personal and systemic transformations through the lens of game mechanics, myth, and the art of noticing.
