Geopresence is an interdisciplinary artistic proposal exploring embodied practices and digital technologies as a germinal space for new ways of existing in relation to land and more-than-human life. It is made for audiences living in technological overwhelm and ecological grief — people who spend much of their lives mediated through screens, but who still feel a deep desire for land, weather, animals, slowness, and embodied connection.
During a three-month residency with Eastern Bloc / Studio SIT in Spring 2026 — we developed a philosophical framework and everyday practices of noticing to inform digital creation with teleperformance, photogrammetry, web interfaces, and live visual engines, eventually sharing these as participative experiences — an outdoor presence walk, and an immersive gallery performance. Central to this exploration was to expand relational space beyond human-centered awareness — moving attention to the periphery, and to the unknown and reflective potencies of the lands and environments that sustain us.
